Reframe. Refocus. Live life on YOUR terms!

A lot of clients want to know…

A lot of my clients share many of the same initial questions about coaching. So I compiled them here to help you better understand what my approach is all about. Please feel free to reach out if there are other questions you have. I’d love to connect with you! Schedule your complimentary personal coaching session.

What is coaching? +

According to the International Coaching Federation (ICF), coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

How is coaching different from therapy? +

Therapy is a wonderful resource to dive into deep-seeded emotional issues from the past and help you overcome them by focusing on “why” they happened. Coaching is for those who are functioning well, but are stuck in a certain situation or area of life. Through coaching, I provide you with tools to focus on HOW to shift your thinking towards to a mindset that will enable you to move forward positively and productively. Coaching is action-oriented, putting YOU squarely in charge of creating the life you want to experience.

How can coaching help improve my mental health & mindfulness? +

The goal of coaching is to put you squarely in the driver’s seat of your life. When you’re in control, your mind can be more at ease. YOU get to decide how you want to feel about things and how you want to handle anything that’s thrown your way. It’s all about helping you live in the present - the here and now. And, when you’re in the present, you’ll find yourself more at peace, more at ease and more mindful and aware of all that you have, all that you are, and all life has to offer.

What are the benefits of coaching? +

Effective coaching truly does benefit all involved – from the coachee, to their direct reports, peers and leadership, to customers, vendors and partners, to the bottom line. Some benefits include:

  • Individual: 80% who receive coaching report increased self-confidence*, 86% reported an increase in their overall productivity** and over 70% benefit from improved work performance, relationships, and more effective communication skills.*

  • Team: 65% of those in a coaching culture are highly engaged.** Specifics include: increased motivation and engagement, feeling valued through empowerment and teamwork and improved working relationships

What kinds of results can I expect? +

Coaching will give you the awareness and tools you need for continued introspection and progress throughout your life. After my own 6-month coaching intensive, I was MUCH more aware about how my actions impacted my life and how I could choose to act differently. And that awareness has propelled continued personal growth and development to this very minute and beyond. But this only happens when you bring your full self to each session. Your results 100% depend on the amount of effort you put into the process – both during the session (being as open and honest with yourself as possible to get to the heart of the issue) and in doing the homework you assign yourself (this is your practice to make mindset shifts real).

What’s a typical session like? +

Each session is 50 minutes (via phone, video chat or live – you choose). During that time, you’ll come ready with a topic which we’ll dive into. My job is to ask questions and pull-out key thoughts and statements to help you understand why you’re looking at things the way you do, how that’s serving you – or not. And how to shift your thinking to approach situations more positively and productively. At the end of each session, you’ll determine action steps to help you move forward.

What’s the Energy Leadership Index Assessment? +

The Energy Leadership Index (ELI) assessment is a proprietary, research-backed assessment tool that takes something abstract, like the way you view the world, and turns it into something tangible—a metric that you can see and feel. Unlike other tools like Myers Briggs and DISC that are personality assessments, the ELI goes deeper to measure your level of energy based on your attitude – or perception and perspective of the world. Because attitude is subjective, by working with me and using the ELI, you can actually alter your attitude, make a shift in your consciousness and increase your overall energy as a result. Learn more.
