What is coaching?

Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires you to maximize your personal and professional potential. My goal is to provide a safe, judge-free space for you to explore where and how you’re getting stuck, understand the truth of what’s really happening and help you make decisions that allow you to get in the driver’s seat and live life on your terms.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy is a wonderful resource to dive into deep-seeded emotional issues from the past and help you overcome them by focusing on “why” they happened. Coaching is for those who are functioning well, but are stuck in a certain situation or area of life. Through coaching, I provide you with tools to focus on HOW to shift your thinking towards to a mindset that will enable you to move forward positively and productively. Coaching is action-oriented, putting YOU squarely in charge of creating the life you want to experience.  

What are the benefits of coaching?

What’s a typical session like?

Each session is 50 minutes (via phone, video chat or live – you choose). During that time, you’ll come ready with a topic which we’ll dive into. My job is to ask questions and pull-out key thoughts and statements to help you understand why you’re looking at things the way you do, how that’s serving you – or not. And how to shift your thinking to approach situations more positively and productively. At the end of each session, you’ll determine action steps to help you move forward.

What kinds of things could we talk about?

I’m a life & leadership coach because I believe that if something’s off in one area of your life, you’re not fully functioning in any area of your life. So, I invite you to bring anything to our coaching sessions. Some topics I typically discuss are:

  • Improving your leadership and management approach

  • Communicating more effectively and empathetically

  • Building stronger relationships with co-workers, family, friends

  • Overcoming key obstacles at work or at home

  • Establishing life/work balance, time management & prioritization

  • Uncovering self-induced obstacles

  • Re-imagining your career

  • Re-establishing your physical health & well-being

  • Or whatever else is on your mind!

Can I schedule sessions for my spouse / significant other and myself?

Yes! I’m happy to talk with the two of you to help you work through anything you’re facing.

What kind of results can I expect?

Coaching will give you the awareness and tools you need for continued introspection and progress throughout your life. But this only happens when you bring your full self to each session. Your results 100% depend on the amount of effort you put into the process – both during the session (being as open and honest with yourself as possible to get to the heart of the issue) and in doing the homework you assign yourself (this is your practice to make mindset shifts real).

Will anything I say be shared with my boss or others?

No. Confidentiality is key to me. No one will know what we’ve talked about and no one will know YOU are talking to me – unless you tell them!

Beth Conger is a Certified Professional Leadership Coach empowering clients to reframe their thinking, refocus on what’s true and reveal the very best version of themselves. Beth couples 20+ years in employee engagement, human insights, and communications at globally renowned companies including Kroger and Essilor/Luxottica, with her expert skillset of scientifically-based methodologies, tools and techniques. Her coaching is all about helping clients understand what they value most, identify in the internal and external factors getting in their way, and come up with new approaches to live a powerful, productive and fulfilled life.

Where do we meet?

Your choice! We can meet via phone, video conference or live (at a local coffee shop or location of your choice). I’m comfortable where you’re comfortable, as long as it’s relatively quiet and we can focus on the most important person in the conversation – YOU!

How often do we meet?

Your Lebanon-City sponsored package includes three, 50-minute sessions. We can meet weekly, bi-weekly or at any time during the 2023 calendar year. Your choice! Note: You’ll receive your two Wellness Points after your three sessions are complete.
